Mientras Occidente defin\u00eda la fotograf\u00eda como el arte de capturar la realidad, \u00e9l decidi\u00f3 reconstruirla desde el alma. Con su t\u00e9cnica de <em data-start=\"335\" data-end=\"357\">fotograf\u00eda compuesta<\/em> \u2014un minucioso ensamblaje de entre diez y veinte negativos distintos\u2014 cre\u00f3 paisajes imposibles que parec\u00edan pintados con niebla, silencio y tiempo. Sus im\u00e1genes no mostraban lo que el ojo ve\u00eda, sino lo que el esp\u00edritu sent\u00eda.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"584\" data-end=\"1079\">Educado en la tradici\u00f3n pict\u00f3rica <em data-start=\"618\" data-end=\"628\">shanshui<\/em> y formado en la t\u00e9cnica occidental, Lang reinvent\u00f3 la fotograf\u00eda como un puente entre el Tao y la c\u00e1mara. Su luz era difusa, sin origen; su perspectiva, m\u00faltiple; su vac\u00edo, lleno de significado. En sus composiciones, el ser humano nunca dominaba la naturaleza: la habitaba. La monta\u00f1a, el r\u00edo y la nube eran actores de una misma respiraci\u00f3n, y el objetivo no era congelar el instante, sino captar el <em data-start=\"1029\" data-end=\"1033\">qi<\/em>, la energ\u00eda vital que da sentido a las cosas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1556\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Si <strong>Lang Jingshan<\/strong> tuviera que fotografiar a <strong>Wu Zetian<\/strong>, la \u00fanica mujer que gobern\u00f3 China, no la retratar\u00eda como emperatriz, sino como un eco del orden c\u00f3smico. La situar\u00eda entre monta\u00f1as sagradas, templos envueltos en bruma y grullas que cruzan el cielo, peque\u00f1a y majestuosa a la vez, parte de un todo que la trasciende. Su retrato ser\u00eda una meditaci\u00f3n visual sobre el poder, la fugacidad y la eternidad.
